About Me
I'm Sam, a software engineer based in the Seattle area who likes building things end to end: the interface someone actually touches, the API and database behind it, and the infrastructure that keeps it running.
Most of my career has been in enterprise consulting, shipping mobile and web applications for clients across native iOS (SwiftUI, UIKit), cross-platform (Flutter, React Native), and full-stack web (React paired with ASP.NET Core, .NET Aspire, Azure Functions, or Python FastAPI, running on PostgreSQL and Docker). Recently that's included an AI-powered cloud migration assistant with a chat interface and MCP servers, and a Chrome extension backed by Azure Functions and .NET Aspire, both on Microsoft Azure.
I studied mathematics at the University of Washington, and outside of client work I'm building a game in Unity and C#.

AI-Powered Cloud Migration Platform & Assistant
A platform built for an enterprise client to guide Microsoft Azure cloud migrations, combining a chat-based assistant, migration recommendation systems, and MCP servers laying the groundwork for future agentic task automation. I contributed across the stack on a cross-functional team of 5+, building the React frontend and a Python FastAPI backend with PostgreSQL, containerized with Docker. Employee Skills & Review Assessment Tool
A Chrome extension built for an enterprise client to manage employee skills and assessed performance review ratings. I contributed across the stack: the React frontend running as a Chrome extension, and a backend combining an ASP.NET Core API and Azure Functions, orchestrated with .NET Aspire, running against PostgreSQL and containerized with Docker. Car Owner React Native Application
On this project, I have worked with a team of developers to create a cross-platform mobile application built using React Native.
Car Owner Apple Watch Application
This application is a native watchOS application. It is built using SwiftUI, WatchKit, and is a companion app to a React Native mobile application.
Design System Integration for Beauty Client
In this role, I acted as a developer integrating newly created design system components, into a legacy React code base.
Gym Membership iOS Application
In this project, I was in charge of providing continuous application maintenance for legacy code using UIKit and creating new business requirements using SwiftUI for a native iOS application. I also was in charge of deploying the application to the app store via App Store Connect.
OpenAI Chat Classification Application
In this project, I have acted as a QA engineer and tester of APIs via postman and UI via Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Docker.
Commercial Vehicle Transportation iOS Application
In this project, I worked with a team to create a native iOS application using SwiftUI. I also gained some experience with Azure Dev Ops Pipelines as well as writing Unit Tests.
Non-Profit School Communication Mobile Application
For this project, I have led a team of developers in creating a cross-platform mobile application using Flutter for a non-profit school organization.
